As a Professional Writing Major, starring at a computer for hours editing video doesn't sound like I'd be good at it.
Well, in life I've always been someone who loves to do more to unlock new sides of myself. I've been someone always interested in writing, but I've also been fascinated with the art of filming, editing and whatnot.
So for my Gaylord College elective class of Intro to Documentary, I was assigned to film a documentary over someone I wanted others to know more about.
I chose my English 1113 Professor Emma Allen who is currently a graduate student helping engage and expand the diversity here at OU with her research prowess.
Filming Emma was fun, because she stopped being my professor halfway through my freshmen year as when class ended, we kept in touch, went out for coffee and a friendship was born.

This documentary (below) is a look within herself as a Native America in Oklahoma who gives her in depth analysis of the culture here, statues, representation and what can be improved as well as what she wants to leave here as a legacy at OU.
A special shout out to: Sarah Beth (for her SD card) Professor David Candy: For his help on saving edits and Final Cut Pro: On being the most annoying/ incredible film editing software I could understand.
