Isiah Herbert Irby was born December 15th, 1997 in Boston Massachusetts.
He lived in the north until he was in kindergarten in which he moved south to Louisiana. He attended McDonough Elementary school and moved from New Orleans just a month before hurricane Katrina.
He moved to north Texas where he attended Razor Elementary (where he would initially find his love for writing in the 4th grade choosing to stay inside and write stories instead of going to recess), Dooley Elementary, Armstrong Middle School, McMillen High school and finally graduating from Plano East Senior High
His first job was as a youth motivational leader for the ‘Margaret’s Tree-house for the summer underneath Plano, Texas’ first class of the Mayor’s Leadership program. Throughout Isiah’s time in north Texas, he was a member of the NHS, AVID, Trumpet player in the band and track and field sprinter for short distances.
During his carrier as a trumpet player for 6 years, he became a 4-time State Solo and Ensemble member and a member of 2 fantastic award-winning marching/concert band programs of McMillen and Plano East.
During his time in track and field starting from 8th grade, he won a city championship for the 2nd year McMillen track and field team, qualified for AREA-regional as a junior in the 100m dash, and would eventually become a 2-time national qualifier, later recruited by the
University of Oklahoma running for OU for his freshmen year.
At the end of his high school career, he would became Plano’s first ever national summer institute speaker chosen over thousands to speak his story.
At the University of Oklahoma, he became Headington College’s 2nd ever president, a member of Gaylord College’s ambassadors, President of the OU Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists and leader in many organizations and camps.

He has graduated from the University of Oklahoma in December of 2020 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Professional Writing with a minor in English writing.
